Ayurvedic Neuro Therapy

A drugless, hands-on traditional therapy using measured pressure at specific body points — offered as a supportive approach for muscle, mobility, spine and nerve-related discomfort after an individual assessment.

Ayurvedic Neuro Therapy is the signature therapy at Sri Siddhi Neuro Wellness. It is a drugless, hands-on approach in which a trained practitioner applies measured pressure at specific points of the body. We offer it as a supportive wellness therapy — alongside, never instead of, appropriate medical care.

What is Ayurvedic Neuro Therapy?

Ayurvedic Neuro Therapy is a traditional, non-invasive therapy that uses the practitioner’s hands (and, for some techniques, controlled pressure with the heel or elbow) on defined points along the back, abdomen and limbs. Sessions are usually given as a short course, with lifestyle and posture advice between sessions.

Practitioners describe the therapy as working by stimulating nerves, circulation and the body’s own regulatory responses. In traditional terms, it is explained through Ayurvedic concepts such as balancing the tridosha (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) and the flow of vital energy. These are traditional explanations; scientific research on this specific therapy is still limited, which is why we describe it as a supportive approach and do not promise particular outcomes.

Traditional Principles

  • A drugless, whole-person approach
  • Pressure applied at specific points in a set sequence
  • Rooted in Ayurvedic ideas of dosha balance
  • Combined with posture and daily-routine guidance
  • Delivered as a course, reviewed regularly
  • Adapted to each person after assessment

Areas of Wellness Focus

People commonly consult us about the following concerns. Suitability is decided only after an individual assessment.

Muscle & mobility

  • Muscle tightness and stiffness
  • Reduced range of movement
  • Shoulder discomfort, including frozen shoulder
  • Knee, hip and heel discomfort

Spine & nerve-related symptoms

  • Neck and back discomfort
  • Cervical and lumbar spondylosis-related discomfort
  • Sciatica-type pain radiating to the leg
  • Tingling or nerve-related discomfort (after medical evaluation)

What this therapy is not: Ayurvedic Neuro Therapy does not regenerate damaged nerves, cure paralysis or permanently treat neurological diseases. Conditions such as stroke, paralysis, progressive weakness or nerve compression need assessment and treatment by a medical doctor. Where appropriate, we may offer supportive sessions alongside that care.

Individual Assessment

Before any session, the doctor discusses your symptoms, medical history, current medicines and any reports (such as X-ray or MRI). We check for warning signs that need urgent medical attention, and decide whether this therapy is suitable — or whether another option, or a referral, is better for you.

How a Session Is Conducted

  1. Check-in & reviewA brief review of how you have been since the last visit.
  2. PositioningYou lie comfortably on a therapy table, usually face-down first. Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
  3. Pressure sequenceThe practitioner applies measured pressure at specific points for a few seconds each, checking your comfort throughout.
  4. Rest & adviceA short rest, followed by posture, activity and routine advice for the days ahead.

Who May Benefit

Adults looking for a drugless, supportive approach for everyday musculoskeletal discomfort, stiffness or lifestyle-related concerns — especially those willing to follow posture, exercise and routine advice between sessions. Results vary from person to person.

Contraindications & Precautions

This therapy may not be suitable, or may need to be modified, if you have:

  • Pregnancy (please tell us — some points and positions are avoided)
  • A recent fracture, surgery, acute injury or severe osteoporosis
  • Bleeding disorders or blood-thinning medicines
  • Fever, acute infection, open wounds or skin infection at the treatment area
  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure, heart disease or a pacemaker (we will ask for your doctor’s advice)
  • Cancer or a history of cancer (please consult your oncologist first)

Seek urgent medical care — not therapy — for sudden weakness or numbness in a limb, loss of bladder or bowel control, numbness around the groin, back pain after a fall or injury, or back pain with fever or unexplained weight loss.

Advice commonly given during a course

Your doctor will give personal advice. General guidance often includes:

  • Avoid bending forward and lifting heavy weights
  • Avoid sitting or standing in one place for long periods
  • Keep the back straight while sitting, standing and walking
  • Avoid sitting on hard surfaces or the floor
  • Limit two-wheeler riding if advised
  • Use a lumbar belt or cervical collar only if advised
  • Avoid work that keeps the neck bent for long periods
  • Do the prescribed exercises correctly and regularly

What to Expect

Pressure should feel firm but tolerable — tell the practitioner at once if anything is painful. Some people feel mild soreness or tiredness for a day after early sessions. Bring a list of current medicines and any previous reports to your first visit. Please continue all prescribed medicines unless your treating doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Ayurvedic Neuro Therapy painful?

Most people describe it as firm pressure rather than pain. The practitioner adjusts pressure to your comfort, and you can ask to pause at any time.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your concern and how you respond. The doctor will suggest a short course after your assessment and review progress regularly. We do not promise results within a fixed number of sessions.

Is this a replacement for surgery or my current treatment?

No. It is a supportive, non-surgical approach. Some conditions do need medicines, injections or surgery — please follow your specialist’s advice and keep them informed about any therapy you take.

Can I continue my medicines?

Yes. Never stop or change prescribed medicines without consulting the doctor who prescribed them.

Can it help with paralysis or nerve damage?

We do not claim to cure paralysis or repair nerves. Neurological conditions must be managed by a medical doctor. The doctor can discuss whether gentle supportive sessions are appropriate alongside that care.
